LE PARC MONCEAU

DÉCOUVREZ LE JARDIN DU DUC DE CHARTRES

Former estate of the Duke of Chartres, cousin of King Louis XVI, Parc Monceau has seen many changes since its creation. Originally intended to be a place of rest and hunting away from the excitement of Paris, the Duke of Chartres made this area an extraordinary place.

Indeed, he built in this place many exotic installations from various cultures. Many remains of this time are still visible today, which makes this park a very special place. In addition, we will discover during the visit magnificent private mansions, which border the park and which are a part of its history.

Your Guide-Speaker will be pleased to introduce you to the magnificent private mansion of Mr Cernuschi, which has now been converted into a museum, a true enthusiast and collector of many extreme oriental objects. Halfway through the visit will give you an opportunity to visit this museum with your guide. In addition you will discover the famous pagoda of the 13th arrondissement of Paris and its rather striking history, as well as the hotel of the Menier family, famous family of chocolate makers.
